Ordering Burger Packaging in Volume: How It Works
How ordering custom printed burger packaging in volume works, how much stock to plan for, and when to reorder so you never run out.

Custom printed packaging is made in volume, so there is a minimum per product. That works well for burger shops with steady sales, and a little planning makes it simple.
What the minimum means for your shop
The minimum quantity depends on the product, so the number for burger boxes is different from the number for napkins or bags. Custom printed burger boxes, for example, start at 10,000 units.
What matters is how long a first order lasts you. A shop selling about 150 burgers a day uses around 4,500 burger boxes a month, so 10,000 boxes lasts a little over two months. That is a sensible stock level for a busy shop. For a very small shop, the same quantity could last half a year, which is why we recommend this way of buying to shops with steady volume.
Plan 45 to 50 days of stock at a time
Production and delivery typically take 30 to 35 days after you approve your sample and artwork. So your packaging has to last you through that wait. Most burger shops plan to hold about 45 to 50 days of stock per order, which means you place your next order while you still have packaging on the shelf.
When to reorder: a worked example
Take a shop that uses 150 burger boxes a day.
- Lead time of up to 35 days means you need 5,250 boxes to cover the wait
- A buffer of 10 days adds another 1,500
- So you reorder when you have about 6,750 boxes left
Use your own daily number. The rule is the same: daily usage multiplied by lead time plus a safety margin tells you when to place the next order.
Your first order
Your first order includes a few extra steps before production: you share what you serve, we recommend a size and style, and you test a sample with your own food. After you approve the sample and artwork, production and delivery typically take 30 to 35 days. If you are opening a new shop, start well ahead of opening day.
If you would rather not hold it all yourself
Not every burger shop has room to hold that much stock. We can keep your stock in UK storage so you take what you need. See how branded packaging storage works.
