How TradePack Ads worksEvery cup is a billboard.
Advertisers pay for the print. Shops hand it out with every order and get their packaging free or discounted. Customers carry the advert home.
Five steps from advert to customer.
Watch one cup travel from the advertiser to the customer, then read what happens at each step.
- 1
Advertiser pays
An advertiser tells us what to promote and where their customers are, and pays for the print run. This is why shops can get their packaging free or discounted.
- 2
We print it
We design the advert with them and print it on the packaging, in the size the shops use. Nothing is printed until the advertiser and the shops have agreed.
- 3
We deliver
We find shops that fit, away from direct competitors. Each shop sees the offer and the design first, and we deliver the packaging to the ones that say yes.
- 4
Shop hands it out
The shop uses the packaging exactly as it uses its normal packaging. Every cup, box and bag that leaves with an order carries the advert.
- 5
Customer sees it
The advert goes home with the customer. A QR code or promo code lets the advertiser count responses.

The same journey on any packaging.
Boxes, bags and cups all work the same way. On a shared run like this burger box, the shop keeps its own logo and the advert takes its own space, printed in the same run.

Questions about TradePack Ads.
What is packaging advertising?
Putting an advert on the packaging a business already hands out, such as pizza boxes, coffee cups and takeaway bags. The advert goes home with the customer, and is seen where the food or drink is eaten.
How does TradePack Ads work?
An advertiser pays for a print run with their advert on it. We plan the campaign, design it, match it with suitable shops and print it. The shops use the packaging with their orders, and get it free or at a discount.
Who pays for the packaging?
The advertiser pays for the print run. That is why shops can receive their packaging free or discounted. The exact offer depends on the product, the quantity and the campaign, and shops see it before anything is printed.
Will a shop carry an advert for a competitor?
No. We do not put a direct competitor's advert on a shop's packaging, and we ask the shop about every campaign before anything is printed. A takeaway can carry an advert for a coffee shop, because they serve different customers, but a coffee shop will not carry an advert for another coffee shop.
What can be advertised?
Local shops and services, online shops, mobile apps, brands and events. We never run adverts for gambling and betting, tobacco and vaping, adult content, payday and high-cost loans or political campaigns, whoever is paying.
Is packaging advertising better than leaflets?
A leaflet means paying to print it and paying to deliver it, and many are thrown away unread. With packaging you pay for something shops really use, and they hand it to every customer with the order.
Do shops have to change how they work?
No. Shops use the packaging exactly as they use their normal packaging. The only difference is what is printed on it.
